Tutoring and Mentorship

PreK - High School

The foundation of Achievement Unlimited was its blending of tutoring and mentoring. Building on lessons from that time and combining it with our decades of skilled work in the school system and advocacy, we hope to both channel, strengthen, and broaden that impact for decades more. 

Tutoring: there are general things all students need, and particular things each student needs. We will use baseline data from assessments to direct differentiated instruction based on their specific academic needs. AU2 will partner with families and schools to ensure that students receive what they need to grow as learners and people. 

Using evidence-based literacy strategies, we will use baseline data paired with our experiential mastery as a starting point to begin tutoring.  Students will be given differentiated instruction based on their specific academic needs. AU2 will partner with families and schools to ensure that students receive what they need to grow as learners. Our goal is to have students gain the skills and knowledge as readers so that they can tutor others. Mentoring: With adult guidance, students learn from each other - playing games, exploring outside, and having fun.  Through our mentorship program, students will gain improved academic performance, increased self-awareness, confidence, resilience, as well as skills in problem solving, communication, critical thinking, and leadership.
