Students are selected by teachers or families and referred to us for tutoring or mentoring services. We start by gathering baseline data to ensure that students receive the targeted lessons that they need. We also reach out to teachers to learn more about each student and work collaboratively to ensure student success. We meet bi-weekly when possible with the goal being increased academic achievement and school engagement.

Teachers and families recommend students to be mentors. Mentors help with homework and build relationships through play, outdoor excursions and shared experiences.

Direct counseling is not offered. Using her expertise as a Nationally Certified School Psychologist and a Licensed Professional Counselor with the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health, Rosanna offers in person consultations and follow up with families to partner families with the services that will work best for them and their children.

Transportation will be the responsibility of the families and caregivers. All locations will also be on/near a bus line.

Programs currently take place at the public library closest to the students and families that we are working with.
